Superose 6 Increase 10/300 GL

Superose 6 Increase 10/300 GL is a versatile, prepacked column for high-resolution size exclusion chromatography in small-scale (< 500 µl sample volume) preparative purification, as well as for characterization and analysis of proteins and other biomolecules with molecular weights between 5 000 and 5 000 000.

Superose 6 Increase is part of the Superdex 200 Increase family, the next generation of size exclusion chromatography (gel filtration) media, offering versatility and higher resolution within a shorter time frame.

 

Superose 6 Increase 10/300 GL column is suitable for small-scale (25 – 500 µl sample volume) preparative purification for obtaining milligram amounts of highly size-homogenous target proteins at the polishing stage of a purification procedure. It is also well-suited for the characterization of large protein complexes and for the study of protein-protein interactions.

 

This size exclusion chromatography (SEC) medium has a very broad fractionation range (Mr 5 000 to 5 000 000) for both proteins and dextrans, making it of special interest to researchers working with protein complexes, membrane proteins, and other macromolecules. It also makes the columns useful as a screening tool to explore the molecular weight distribution of an unknown sample.

Smaller Bead Size Increases Resolution

The increased resolution of Superose 6 Increase compared to Superose 6 is a result of the smaller bead size (mean bead size 8.6 µm) and narrower particle size distribution, giving higher purity and better analysis results. Superose 6 Increase reduces your runtime compared to Superose 6.The high-flow agarose base matrix has excellent pressure/flow properties, which in combination with the smaller bead size, allows for high flow rates and increased resolution.

Cleaning-In-Place for Versatility

Superose 6 Increase medium is alkali resistant and supports cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedures, which allows you to use the same column for different proteins with minimal risk for carry-over between samples. Alkali resistance differentiates agarose-based media from silica-based media. In addition, the possibility to clean the medium ensures a long column lifespan.
